NetBenefit partners with Panther Express to offer CDN services
August 11 2008
NetBenefit has joined with Panther Express, a global provider of high performance content delivery network (CDN) services, to offer enhanced services to their customers. Now NetBenefit will be able to offer an industry leading content delivery platform to complement its existing business critical managed hosting solutions.
By caching content on servers geographically closest to the website visitor, CDN services deliver an improved website experience consistently across the user population. Quick and easy to set up, the Panther CDN service removes pressure from the origin server, efficiently delivering content to a global audience whilst allowing full control of the cost of distribution. Whether the content being distributed is music videos or corporate data, the user experience is assured.
A number of NetBenefit customers are already taking advantage of the new Panther CDN service including The National Archives, whose UFO webpage attracted phenomenal worldwide interest this summer following the release of previously unseen UFO files.
Jonathan Robinson, chief operating officer, NetBenefit, explains: "Placing your content on a CDN removes key technical and business barriers associated with content delivery so that companies of all sizes can benefit from world class CDN services to effectively deliver digital content."
"This new service demonstrates NetBenefit’s commitment to provide flexible managed hosting solutions tailored to meet the individual business needs of a broad range of customers."
Panther Vice President Gad Stanislas commented "Users demand an excellent online experience. NetBenefit’s managed hosting infrastructure combined with Panther’s Content Delivery Network ensures that end-users enjoy a high quality experience irrespective of the volume of data being downloaded."
